Actor as a Commoner with a Sword

Comments - Terrific kabuki portrait of an actor as an enraged commoner brandishing his sword, holding the blade both hands before him. He grimaces angrily, his gray hair falling loosely over his shoulders, tied back with a white sash. His lips are black, and his teeth are visible. A fantastic Edo era kabuki portrait by Shun'ei.

Artist - Shunei (1762 - 1819)

Image Size - 12 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Backed with paper. A few small holes, repaired. Slight soiling, a few small spots, slight rippling. Please see photos for details.
