Series; Eight Views of Lake Biwa

Beauty with a Miniature Boat, 1855 - Charming portrait of a beauty holding a miniature or toy pleasure boat, complete with tiny reed blinds hanging from the roof of the cabin. She smiles happily as she looks ahead, tucking her other hand into her obi. A horizontal inset above shows a view of Lake Biwa, the water dotted with white sails and mountains lining the opposite shore. An attractive design from a rarely seen series. The first time we've offered this subject.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 3/8" x 9 3/4"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Tear at edge, slight thinning at corner, a few holes, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and creasing. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
