Hiroshige's Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji - In Japan, Mt. Fuji is a sacred place and a symbol of the country itself. Seen less frequently than some of his more well-known series, "Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji" ranks as one of Hiroshige's best vertical format series.

Twilight Hill at Meguro in the Eastern Capital, 1858 - Handsome view of Meguro in autumn from Twilight Hill (Yuhigaoka), with the leaves changing color on the maples trees framing the scene. Mt. Fuji appears on the distant horizon beyond the village nestled among the fields. Lovely color and shading.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Slight separation at ends of vertical centerfold, repaired. Slight toning, slight rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
