Series; Twelve Views of Modern Beauties

The Quiet Type, circa 1822 - 1823 - Attractive portrait of a beauty reading a letter, studying it carefully as she looks down. She wears a striped outer kimono over a red under robe with a delicately patterned gray and white collar. Her hair is arranged in a large loop, adorned with a simple hairpin. An inset in the form of a scroll unrolling depicts Benten Shrine at Shinobazu Pond. A handsome design with fine detail in the hairline.

Condition - This print with good detail as shown. Backed with paper. Loss at corner, stitching holes at side, a few small wormholes, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and rubbing, a few marks. Please see photos for details.
