Mother of the Soga Brothers

Comments - Handsome portrait of the mother of the two famous Soga Brothers, whose father was murdered when they were children. The pair grew up to avenge his death. Here, she smiles as she stands in the doorway, waving her hand. She wears a gold colored outer kimono patterned with clematis blossoms and vines over a beautifully embossed white under robe. A screen inside the room behind her features a view of Mt. Fuji. A beautifully detailed design.

Artist - Nobukazu (1874 - 1944)

Image Size - 14" x 9 3/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight toning and spotting, a few creases and stains. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
