Building a Snowman - Charming winter scene from the "Tale of Genji" of a beauty and a young girl playing in the snow, rolling giant snowballs to build a snowman. The beauty kneels beside the smaller mound, looking down with a sad expression, her sleeves held to her chest. The girl pulls back the sleeve of her red kimono as she watches her companion. A snow-covered pine tree frames a view of the sea beyond. An interesting subject, detailed with delicate gold mica designs in both kimono, and gold mica across the top of the sky.
