Original 20th century Japanese Woodblock Print
City Street Scene, 1966

Comments - Interesting woodblock print of a city street with pedestrians and a vendor at his stand. At right, a mother carries a young child on her back while a blind man with a can approaches at left. Behind them, rooftops are silhouetted in gray against a rosy sky as the sun sets. Some of the pigments used for this woodblock print are opaque and heavily printed, giving it the appearance of a painting. We haven't been able to find any information on this artist. An unusual design, dated Showa 41 (1966) on reverse in pencil along with other text.

Artist - Bellini (20th century)

Image Size - 13" x 7 3/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Small tear at edge. Toning, slight soiling, creasing at edges, a few spots. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
