Original Yamamura Koka (1885 - 1942) Japanese Woodblock Print
Nude Woman (Rafu), 1931

Comments - Sensitive shin-hanga portrait of a beauty after a bath, her head buried in her arms as she sits on the floor. Her position conveys a sense of sadness or grief, her face hidden from the world as she rests her arms across her knees. An embossed red, yellow, and white checked sash is draped over her knees, the fringed ends trailing onto the floor. Beautifully drawn with flowing line work. A moving image.

Artist - Yamamura Koka (1885 - 1942)

Image Size - 16 3/4" x 11 1/2"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Horizontal centerfold. Toning at edges, creasing, slight soiling, a few spots. Please see photos for details.
