The Twenty-four Chinese Paragons of Filial Piety - Terrific design from a rarely seen Kuniyoshi series depicting the famous "Twenty-four Paragons of Filial Piety," a Chinese book featuring examples of the extraordinary devotion of children to their parents and relatives. These unusual designs have a rather Western appearance, some featuring patches of color or hatching to give a more three-dimensional appearance. These wonderfully detailed subjects are a nice complement to Kuniyoshi's more well-known warrior designs.

Artist - Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861)

Image Size - 9 1/8" x 5 3/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Vertical centerfold. A few wormholes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few spots. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
