Comments - Attractive scene of Prince Genji on an outing to view cormorant fishermen. He sits in a pavilion overlooking the water, grinning as he looks over his shoulder. A beauty pours sake into the cup in his outstretched hand, and a meal is set out on a lacquer tray behind her. At left, a standing beauty smiles back at the young nobleman, dressed in a red kimono patterned with oversized peonies. Cherry blossoms frame the scene at top and bottom. A charming design, nicely colored and detailed, with light embossing in the white kimono collars and trim.
