Series; Five Scenes of Tsukushi

Tsukushi - Strikingly modern, almost abstract view of Tsukushi by the artist Hanjiro Sakamoto from the series "Japan Scenery Prints," which was originally published in 1918. Sakamoto was born in Tsukushi, the area north-west of Kyushu. This reprint is from a 1970 edition titled "Five Scenes of Tsukushi" published by Kato Junji of the Kato Print Institute with embossed publisher's seal in the right margin. A bold design with wonderful graphic impact.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Two small lightly rubbed spots at top edge. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
