Comments - Interesting modern design of a man feeding a mochi (rice cake) to the deer at Nara. Ryushi Kawabata was a well-known painter and very influential on the development of nihonga or Japanese-style painting. A charming image with a naive, sketch-like quality.

Artist - Ryushi Kawabata (1885 - 1966)

Image Size - 11 1/2" x 8 1/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight toning, a few spots and crease, stain at edge. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
