Couple on a Moonlit Night Fan Print

Comments - Handsome fan print with a kabuki scene depicting a young couple along the water's edge, a full moon glowing in the night sky. The pair wears matching kimono, and the beauty smiles as she looks back over her shoulder, reaching a hand toward her lover's back. The man frowns unhappily as he looks to the side, pushing up the sleeve of his robe with one hand. In the distance at left, a teahouse can be seen on a stone embankment. An attractive design, detailed with embossing on the kimono.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - Page size 8 1/4" x 10 3/4"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Backed with paper. Vertical centerfold. Slight toning, creasing, and soiling, slight rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
