Sawamura Tossho II as Kinokuni Bunza in the Book Ogonsui Daijin Sakazuki, 1866 - Handsome kabuki portrait of Sawamura Tossho II as Kinokuni Bunza in the book "Ogonsui Daijin Sakazuki" by Tamenaga Shunsui II, which was made into the play "Koko Daijin Kin no Mamemaki." He looks up over his shoulder with a suspicious frown, his brows slightly furrowed. He wears a striped coat over a striped kimono and red under robe, a folding fan in his hand and his thinning hair pulled back into a slender topknot. A nice large expressive figure from a rarely seen Yoshiiku series, also in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
