Sumo Wrestlers Arguing

Comments - Great kabuki scene of two sumo wrestlers arguing. The older, more experienced sumo Chogoro purposely lost a match to the young Chokichi in hopes of earning a favor from his patron. After Chokichi learns the truth, he lashes out at Chogoro. The young athlete raises a tea cup above his head, ready to smash it down angrily. He wears a purple kimono with a design of a large horse, an aqua robe with a burnished checked pattern draped over his shoulder. At right, Chogoro glares back at him with a tight-lipped frown, his hand flung out at his side. He wears a black kimono with a design of oversize butterflies over a blue under robe with a furry black collar. Nice large, expressive figures set off by a deep red background.
