Wife of Tokugawa Iemochi, No. 14 - Lovely design showing Kazunomiya, the wife of the fourteenth shogun, Tokugawa Iemochi. The young beauty wears an embossed white robe tied with a red obi as her attendant readies a formal kimono for her to wear. Sliding panels open onto a verandah overlooking a garden with a stream, with a bouquet of red flowers, pine sprigs, and red berries resting on the porch beside an ornate vase. A handsome scene inside the palace with fine detail and attractive coloring.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases, slight rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
