Men with Sumo Puppets - Intriguing kabuki scene of two men holding bunraku puppets of sumo wrestlers, with a nobleman between them holding a referee's fan and a length of red cord between his hands. He wears a striking blue peacock feather print coat over a blue kimono patterned with peonies. The panels lining the back of the room depict a view of Mt. Fuji above the banners and standards of a samurai encampment. A fascinating subject with wonderful detail.

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 28 7/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. Three separate panels. Small losses at edges, stitching holes at sides, a few wormholes, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and creasing, rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details.
