A Fuji Arts special offer auction

Beauty Imitating a Daimyo - Charming scene of beauties on an outing, the women imitating the roles of a daimyo and a page traveling. The beauty riding the dappled horse wears a men's tunic over a pink kimono bordered with cranes taking flight, and a tall men's court cap. She flips her sleeve over her shoulder as she looks up to admire the view of Mt. Fuji, the mountain's base rising at upper left. The young woman beside her acts as a page, carrying the daimyo's sword upright, her long sleeve draped over her arm to keep it from dragging on the ground. An attractive design, beautifully detailed with embossing on the pink kimono.

Artist - Eizan (1787 - 1867)

Image Size - 14 3/4" x 10"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Backed with paper. A few small wormholes, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and creasing, a few small spots, two small rubbed spots at edge. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
