Arai: View of the Distant Lake and the Horie Area - Unusual, comic image of a young boy displaying his privates to an elderly woman, who peers at him through a monocle or eyeglass. The landscape above by Hiroshige features a spit of land extending across a bay to a large, gently rounded island dotted with pine trees near Horie. A very small rocky island can be seen at right, with steep cliffs lining the shore in the distance. An interesting subject. A variant edition with a colored background.

Artist - Hiroshige (1797 - 1858) and Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 9 1/2" + top margin as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Small hole, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and creasing, slight paper remnant at right edge. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
