Courtesan Hinazuru of Chojiya - Beautiful design by Eisho depicting the elegant courtesan Hinazuru holding a doll, an allusion to her name since hina means doll in Japanese. She smiles as she looks over her shoulder, carefully holding the toy with both hands. She wears several layers of kimono, the tie-dyed pattern of her green under robe delicately embossed. A fantastic subject with soft color and a lovely mica background. Rarely seen in reprint.
