Comments - Terrific kabuki portrait of a samurai standing in the rain, glaring angrily with one hand thrown up above his head. With his other hand he holds a straw hat dangling over his back, wearing a rust colored coat over a blue kimono, his two swords at his side. At lower right, a dog looks up at him. Rain slants down across the night sky, the walls of a castle in gray silhouette along the horizon. A bold design with a large colorful figure set against a muted background. A great Kunichika kabuki portrait.
