Dressed for Entertaining

Series; Modern Women

Dressed for Entertaining - Attractive portrait of a young beauty dressed for an evening of entertaining. She looks over her shoulder with a smile, holding a folding fan decorated with chrysanthemums and clouds. She wears a blue kimono tied with a green brocade obi over a red under robe with a pink collar. Her hair is pulled back into a smooth knot adorned with a ribbon and clusters of flowers, a cloth pinned protectively over her hairstyle until she is ready to go out. A charming subject, nicely composed.

Artist - Eisen (1790 - 1848)

Image Size - 14 7/8" x 10 1/8"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse from previous backing. A few wormholes and small holes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases, slight rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
