Beauty with an Umbrella Kakemono

Comments - Attractive Eisen kakemono or vertical diptych of a beauty strolling along, carrying an umbrella with one hand. She looks over her shoulder with a rather dismayed expression, her mouth slightly agape, a few loose wisps of hair framing her face. She wears a beautiful blue kimono with a gourd motif, tied with a black and gray checked obi with phoenixes on it. She totters along on tall wooden geta clogs, her red under robe visible as she walks. A classic Edo era beauty subject, beautifully composed to fit the vertical format.

Artist - Eisen (1790 - 1848)

Image Size - 28 1/2" x 9 3/4"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two attached panels. A few small holes, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and creasing. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
