Prince Genji Playing Koto, 1860

Comments - Handsome triptych depicting Prince Genji playing the koto for a group of beauties. He pauses to look up from the instrument with a happy grin. The beauty standing in the center smiles as she looks back at her companions, the breeze blowing her folding kimono sleeve. The wind also ripples the curtains at left and the reed blind at right. The room opens onto a garden with bush clover at right. A charming design, nicely colored.

Image Size - 14" x 29 1/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels. Very small loss at edge, a few tiny holes, repaired. Slight soiling, a few small spots and marks. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
