The Lovers Pillar Print

Comments - Lovely Utamaro pillar print depicting a pair of lovers. The young samurai grins as he looks back over his shoulder, his swords at his side and a folding fan decorated with a blossoming plum tree in his hand. The beauty looks the opposite direction, her hair pulled back into a large smooth bun adorned with a red bow and a few hairpins. A handsome Edo era design.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two attached panels. Small losses at edges, a few wormholes, repaired. Toning, creasing, and soiling, a few stains. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
