The Courtesan Tsukioka of the Hyogo Establishment

Comments - Lovely portrait of the courtesan Tsukioka drying a red lacquer sake cup with a sheer cloth. She smiles happily, her hair swept into a large smooth bun and tied back with a white cloth band while she works. Beautifully drawn with fine detail in the face and hairstyle. A charming design seldom seen in reprint.

Artist - Eisui (active ca. 1790 - 1823)

Image Size - 14 1/2" x 9 5/8"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse at top corners from previous mounting. Slight toning, a few creases at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
