Series; Parody of the Loyal Retainers

The 47 Ronin, Act 6: Kampei's Suicide, 1825 - Handsome scene from Act 6 of the "Kandehon Chushingura," the famous drama about the 47 ronin. Here, Kampei looks down with a worried frown, believing that he has accidentally killed his father-in-law while hunting boar. His wife, the beauty Okaru looks over her shoulder with a concerned expression, her mouth slightly agape and a mirror in her hand. The actors are Onoe Kikugoro as Hayano Kampei and Segawa Kikunojo as Okaru. A nice design with expressive figures from a rarely seen series.
