Spring Rain at Gokoku Temple, 1932

Comments - Peaceful scene of a gentle spring rain at Gokokuji or Gokoku Temple in Tokyo. A tall pine tree at right dwarfs the small figure of a woman below, walking quietly towards the temple gate. Lovely handling of the cloudy sky and the shimmering reflections on the watery pavement below. A beautiful Hasui subject.
