Smoky: the appearance of a housewife of the Kyowa era, No. 6 - A graceful beauty and typical housewife depicted in a light summer robe with her hair pinned high. She is elegant, even in the fanning of the smoke from the fire to keep insects away, her eyes narrowed against the smoke. She wears lightweight summer robes and uses informal fan patterned with symbols from the Tale of Genji. A beautiful, gracefully delicate design and a favorite from the series for many collectors. An excellent design and a favorite from the series.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse from previous backing. Small thinning spot. Creasing and rippling, slight toning and soiling, small stain. Please see photos for details.
