Original Meiji era Japanese Woodblock Print
Factory Workers

Comments - Interesting Meiji era scene of men busily working on long rectangular panels, perhaps panels for screens or folded tatami mats. In the rooms along the right, men bend over the panels laid out before them. Other workers carry the panels out to prop them against wooden fences in a large open area. Located alongside a river, the entire factory is enclosed, with an entrance at lower left and stepping stones leading into the complex. Mt. Fuji can be seen in the distance. An intriguing subject with wonderful detail.
