Ladies' Etiquette Pictures

Beauties in a Garden - Lovely depiction of beauties enjoying a stroll through a garden in springtime. At left, a young girl bows politely as she waits for the women to catch up. In the center two women chat, one dressed in a purple kimono patterned with cherry blossoms and splashing waves. At right, a cherry tree flowers above a large stone lantern, and stepping stones lead across the scene. A charming design, beautifully detailed with burnishing in the black kimono and bi, and embossing in the white kimono trim. We've never before offered this subject.

Artist - Chikanobu (1838 - 1912)

Image Size - 13 7/8" x 28"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels, backed with paper. Slight soiling, a few small marks and light ripples. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
