Comments - Lovely triptych showing the young Prince Genji and a party of beauties enjoying a spring outing. Two butterfly dancers with small hand drums perform on an arched stone bridge as Genji relaxes on a bench at right. A young sword bearer stands behind him and another beauty holds a fine lacquer tobacco set. A large drum patterned with lions can be seen at upper right. A beautiful spring subject with colorful peonies throughout the garden and cherry blossoms framing the scene. Nicely detailed with embossing on the white kimono collars and trim.
