These dramatic images of famous warriors created a sensation with the Japanese public. Uesugi Terutora Kenshin Dances in Front of a Bonfire, 1878 - Intriguing image of the great warrior Uesugi Terutora Kenshin, known as the Dragon of Echigo, who defeated Oda Nobunaga in battle. He is shown dancing around a bonfire at an encampment, clouds of smoke billowing from the orange and red flames. A man seated on a stool behind him plays a hand drum, and several retainers are seated nearby. A great atmospheric design.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. A couple small holes, repaired. A couple pinpoint holes, not noticeable. Slight soiling, a few light creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
