Original Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861) Japanese Woodblock Print
Dismayed Man

Comments - Interesting kabuki print of a man standing next to a garden gate, staring ahead with a dismayed expression, his mouth slightly agape. He carries a wooden box with openings in it, and wears a blue striped kimono with large stylized pine motifs, a dotted towel draped over his shoulder. A lantern with writing on it hangs at upper left. A nice expressive figure in an interesting setting.

Artist - Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861)

Image Size - 14 1/2" x 10 1/8"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Vertical folds at sides. Creasing, slight toning and soiling, darkening at edge. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
