Officer Lecturing Two Men, 1897 - Interesting scene of an officer in a black uniform lecturing two men who bow before him. His eyes bulging with rage, the officer shakes a gloved figure at the commoners, who seem to be portrayed as rustic bumpkins. A beauty in a lavender coat watches at left. An unusual comic Kiyochika series illustrating poems in the order of the iroha syllabary. We've never come across a print from this series before.
