Ichikawa Yaozo III as Umeomaru

Comments - Fantastic okubi-e or large head kabuki portrait of the actor Ichikawa Yaozo III as Umeomaru in a striking close-up image capturing the actor's intensity. He wears a red kimono patterned with his namesake pink plum (ume) blossoms, the three concentric rice measure crest of the Ichikawa Danjuro line of actors on the shoulder. A bold design.

Artist - Enkyo (1749 - 1803)

Image Size - 14 5/8" x 9 5/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight toning, small spot, a few light creases at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
