Spring, 1946 - Lovely portrait of a maiko or apprentice geisha, sitting beneath a blossoming cherry tree with a hand drum at her side. She wears an intricately patterned tie-dyed kimono with folding fan motifs, tied with a black obi featuring large blossoms. A charming shin-hanga design from a rarely seen series. Published by Unsodo.
