Sumiyoshi Full Moon - Fantastic print showing the 13th century Japanese poet Teika having fallen asleep at the Shinto shrine at Sumiyoshi. The shrine was dedicated to the god of poetry and in this lovely scene, the deity appears out of a dark mist above him in delicately embossed robes. Lovely print with fine bokashi shading and burnishing in the black cap.

Image Size - 13" x 8 3/4" + margins as shown
Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Small loss and tear at edge, a couple small thinning spots, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and creasing, a few small spots. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
