Series; After A Realistic Sketchbook by Hokusai (Hokusai shashin gafu)

After A Realistic Sketchbook by Hokusai - Terrific design from a rarely seen Meiji era series based on Hokusai's Edo era series "Hokusai shashin gafu." Well-known for his satirical and comic images, the artist Kyosai recreated Hokusai's humorous subjects faithfully, with the addition of vibrant color to create handsome versions of these great designs. Most images also include deluxe embossing, and some feature allover cloth embossing. Each print features Kyosai's signature and artist's seal. The series is almost never seen on the market, and is great choice for anyone interested in classic Hokusai subjects.
