Beauty Playing the Shamisen - Charming scene of a beauty playing the shamisen as her children listen. She smiles as she looks down, a songbook open on a low table before her. A young girl grins happily, while another child at left holds a songbook and an older girl at right stands with one hand resting on the doorframe. At lower right, a fan decorated with a kabuki actor portrait rests on the floor. A lovely design with a handsome interior setting, detailed with burnishing in the black obi.

Artist - Kunisada II (1823 - 1880)

Image Size - 14" x 9 1/4"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse from previous backing. One wormhole, repaired. Slight soiling. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
