Original Eisen (1790 - 1848) Japanese Woodblock Print
Visiting a Temple

Comments - Interesting scene of a beauty and a young boy visiting a temple, standing beside the pillar of a stone torii gate. The woman wears a black kimono bordered with a white pattern, tied with a blue obi featuring descending geese that reverses to a white embossed design. A rectangular inset at upper left shows a waitress serving tea to a man sitting on the edge of a porch, with a beauty reclining on the floor of the room behind him. A lovely design, detailed with additional embossing in the white kimono trim and around the inset.

Artist - Eisen (1790 - 1848)

Image Size - 15 1/8" x 10 1/8"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. A few wormholes, repaired. Slight soiling, a few creases and stains. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
