Comments - Great kabuki portrait of Ichikawa Raizo II as the young nobleman Yoshida no Matsuwakamaru. He strikes a bold pose with one hand thrown up in the air and a small red lacquer desk or tray under his arm, a terrible grimace on his face. The sliding panel behind him features a blossoming plum tree. A terrific, expressive figure with a wonderfully detailed setting.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Slight thinning on reverse at top edge from previous mounting. Toning, slight soiling, creasing at corners, a couple small paper remnants. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
