Original Meiji era Japanese Woodblock Print
Noblewoman, Boy, and Armor

Comments - Interesting scene of a Heian era noblewoman and a young boy examining pieces of armor set out on the lid of a wooden chest. The child throws his hands out with excitement as he leans forward, the beauty standing at his side. She wears a purple outer robe with a design of a splashing waterwheel over a red kimono tucked into full red pants that trail beneath her feet. A handsome and colorful design.
