Yoshitada Fighting Kagehisa

Series; Famous Fights of Japan

Yoshitada Fighting Kagehisa - Terrific design of the young warrior Matano Goro Kagehisa battling Sanada Yoichi Yoshitada on a rocky shore. Crouching atop his enemy, Kagehisa grips the sheath of his sword to draw it from its case as Yoshitada grips the scabbard with one hand and Kagehisa's hair with the other. The pair grapple under a driving rain as waves crash against the rocks. Another samurai scowls as he watches from upper right, clinging to the stone under the dark night sky. A great, atmospheric image with expressive figures and fine detail in the armor. A great Yoshikazu samurai subject.
