Series; Famous Views of the Eastern Capital

Tsukuda Island - Handsome image of two women taking the ferry across to Tsukuda Island, seen ahead along the horizon. The wooden pilings of Eitai Bridge frame the scene, and prayer slips flutter down onto the water from the bridge above. A charming depiction with beautiful shading in the water and sky. A lovely old Meiji era reprint of a rarely seen Kuniyoshi landscape subject.

Artist - Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861)

Image Size - 9 3/8" x 14 1/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Small V-shaped tear, a few small holes, small thinning spot at edge, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few crease and small spots. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
