Taizo Minakawa - Beautiful 20th century design by Taizo Minakawa, who earned fame as a dyer and weaver, producing textile designs using wax resist, and also created a number of woodblock prints. His work has been exhibited around the world and published in several books. Minakawa incorporates simplified blocks of color and strong black outlines with a handsome use of negative space to create a bold modern style. His striking designs are a terrific choice to collect or display. This print is from a limited edition published by Unsodo. Each print is signed and numbered 3/100 in the bottom margin, a desirable low number in the edition.
