Michinoomi no Mikoto Following a Crow to the Enemy's Lair, 1880 - Handsome scene of Michinoomi no Mikoto, who accompanied Empress Jingu's army, following a crow to an enemy's lair. The bearded warrior shields his eyes with his hand as he watches the crow high above, the sky framed by the bare branches of a tree atop the cliff at right. He wears fur chaps over a red robe, a rustic bow in his hand and a quiver of arrows at his back. The men climbing the hill at left gesture and shout at the bird, as does the man at his side carrying a large ax. An interesting subject with soft shading in the sky.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse from previous backing. A couple small holes, small thinning spot at edge, repaired. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases, stain. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
