Worried Man Holding a Baby

Comments - Handsome kabuki scene featuring a man at left cradling a young child to his chest, looking up with a distraught expression. The fellow at right regards him with an angry scowl, his lips pressed tightly together and his arms folded across his chest. He stands in a doorway or an opening into a stone embankment or retaining wall topped with grass. An interesting subject with large expressive figures and a nicely detailed setting.

Artist - Kunichika (1835 - 1900)

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 19 1/8"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Two attached panels, backed with paper. Slight toning and soiling, a few creases, slight curling. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
