Nigatsudo in Nara

Comments - Fantastic scene of a mother and young boy visiting Nigatsudo Hall at Todaiji Temple in Nara, feeding the pigeons on the balcony. Lanterns hang from the eaves above and a pilgrim in a white coat leans over the far railing. An attractive shin hanga design, nicely colored with a soft, painterly appearance.

Artist - Kagiya (active circa 1930s)

Image Size - 11 3/4" x 8 1/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. A couple small spots, natural paper creases at top edge. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
