Small Shin-hanga Prints - We recently acquired an interesting group of small shin-hanga prints by a variety of artists, including the noted Takehisa Yumeji. These 20th century designs are fresh and modern, with many featuring up-to-date young women wearing the latest styles, or enjoying new technology or popular pastimes. Most are drawn with lively line work and have a loose, sketch-like quality, capturing a sense of immediacy and energy. These charming and unusual subjects are an affordable way to collect an intriguing shin-hanga design.
